It was an honor to rise in the House and recognize the Cape Breton Charitable Association of Halifax on their incredible diamond anniversary. From the adult dances Starla Burns and I help organize to the all-age ceilidhs led by Brad Reid, this organization is the heartbeat of our community.
Huge thanks to President Tony Mombourquette and the legendary musicians like Howie MacDonald, Mac Morin, Troy McGillivray, Andrea Beaton, Mairi Rankin, and Kyle MacDonald who have graced the stage. As I mentioned in my statement, these events are legendary for making connections.
