June is Brain Injury Awareness Month.
Brain injuries can happen in an instant, but their impacts can last a lifetime. This month, we recognize the strength and resilience of survivors, raise awareness about the challenges they face, and highlight the importance of accessible support and services.
Organizations like the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia play an important role in supporting survivors, families, and caregivers through advocacy, education, and community-based programs.
By increasing understanding and reducing stigma, we can help create communities where those living with brain injuries feel supported and empowered throughout their recovery journey.
