Lifelong learning has the power to change lives, open doors, and strengthen our communities.
Nominations are now open for the Council of the Federation Literacy Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement, innovation, and leadership in literacy across Nova Scotia.
Each year, this national award honours an adult learner in every province and territory who has demonstrated exceptional progress in their learning journey and made a meaningful impact in their community, workplace, or school.
The award highlights the importance of literacy as a foundation for confidence, opportunity, and connection at every stage of life.
If you know someone whose dedication to learning is inspiring others, I encourage you to submit a nomination.
Nomination forms and more information are available here: https://novascotia.ca/lae/cof-literacy-award.asp
or by calling 1-877-466-7725
The deadline to nominate is June 12.
This is a great opportunity to recognize the achievements of Nova Scotians who are leading by example and showing the value of lifelong learning in our communities.
