Having trouble keeping up with your electricity bill? Support may be available.

Nova Scotia Power has launched a new $500,000 Community Energy Fund to help eligible Nova Scotians who are struggling with their electricity bills.

Through partnerships with trusted community organizations across the province, Nova Scotia Power will match financial assistance provided by participating organizations, up to $300 per eligible customer.

Here’s what you need to know:

Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
$250,000 is available now, with another $250,000 being released on November 2.
You must be a Nova Scotia Power customer with an outstanding electricity bill.
You must also meet the eligibility requirements of a participating community organization.
The amount of assistance available can be up to $300 per eligible customer.

If you or someone you know is having difficulty paying their electricity bill, it is worth checking to see if you qualify.
