On the National Day of Mourning, we pause to remember and honour workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or become ill due to workplace incidents. Each life lost is a profound tragedy, leaving lasting impacts on families, friends, and communities.
In late 2025, The Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) and the provincial Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI) unveiled Safer Workplaces Together, a new injury-prevention strategy aimed at reducing workplace injuries and enhancing occupational health and safety across the province.
We continue to strive for safer workplaces and to ensure that every worker returns home at the end of the day.
