It was such a pleasure to spend my Sunday afternoon celebrating the one year anniversary of the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank and Thrift Store at their new location in Upper Tantallon.
If you haven’t had a chance to drop by 9A Sonny’s Road yet, I highly recommend it. The thrift store is incredibly well organized, easy to browse, and filled with great finds at even better prices. The best part is knowing that every purchase goes directly toward supporting the vital work of their food bank.
The community spirit was on full display with live music, food, and plenty of excitement over the raffle prizes. It was great to see my colleague, Danielle Barkhouse – MLA for Chester-St.Margaret’s, there showing her full support as well. A huge thank you to Courtney, Helen, as well as the rest of the team for the invite and for everything you do to ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
Our local organizations are the heart of our community, and it is wonderful to see this space thriving after its first year.
