Applications are now open for the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment (OHPR) Community Fund.
Community organizations, non-profits, and municipalities can apply for grants of up to $25,000 to support local healthcare recruitment and retention initiatives. Projects may focus on welcoming healthcare professionals and their families, reducing social and cultural barriers, and creating stronger connections within communities.
Since launching in 2022, the fund has supported 82 projects across Nova Scotia, including recruitment campaigns, career fairs, multicultural events, mentorship programs, housing assistance initiatives, and more.
A total of $400,000 is available through the 2026-27 funding round.
Applications are open until July 16.
Virtual information sessions will also be available for interested applicants.
